About
The Villaseñor Lab opened its doors in June 2022 in the Molecular Biology Division at the Biomedical Center (BMC) in Munich. We are immensely grateful for generous funding from the Emmy Noether Programme of the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft.
Our research spans from chromatin biology to method development and biomedical applications. While our work is multi-disciplinary, our projects are linked by a focus on understanding the regulatory mechanisms governing combinatorial chromatin states in health and disease (see our Research page for more information). We are proud to be part of the BMC, an excellent place to integrate into an exceptional research community and accomplish our vision.
We sincerely believe that interculturality is an essential ingredient of creativity. Our goal is to establish a culturally varied and inclusive research team in a leading scientific environment that shares these values. Indeed, about 50 percent of all employees at the Biomedical Center originate from foreign countries creating an international research atmosphere.
